Raccoons-by Weston Thomson & The Crux Collective

Raccoons-by Weston Thomson & The Crux Collective

The Raccoon is a common night walker
of Chico
streets. They keep a low profile and often travel in groups. Some people
consider them bandits and often times they are spotted as road kill during the
day. We chose the Raccoon theme due to their high population volume in our
neighborhood. Raccoon's are also a symbol of the working artist. Oftentimes
artists keep a low profile and participate in local collectives and groups.
Young artists also are especially tagged as bandits just like the raccoon. To
the public eye it might also seem that many artists are like
"roadkill" or starving and barely making it. But like the mysterious
nightlives of raccoons, artists too,
live a secret life unseen by the
audience at large.
